Symposium Chair Responsibilities:
As a symposium chair, you will have the autonomy to organize and lead a session focused on a particular theme or topic of your choosing.
You will be responsible for:
Selecting a Theme: Choose a relevant and engaging theme within the field of rock art research and heritage.
Inviting Speakers: Assemble a group of distinguished scholars and experts to present papers or engage in discussions during your session.
Coordinating the Session: Ensure that your symposium runs smoothly, adhering to the conference schedule and guidelines.
Benefits of Organizing a Symposium:
Leadership Opportunity: Establish yourself as a leader in your field by curating a session that showcases cutting-edge research.
Networking: Build professional connections with other experts and scholars who share your interests.
Visibility: Increase the visibility of your research and the work of your colleagues within the global academic community.
Parallel Sessions and Venue Flexibility:
Given the potential for more than four days of presentations, the conference is prepared to accommodate parallel sessions to ensure a smooth and efficient schedule. Previous conferences have successfully managed 6-8 parallel sessions over five-day periods, and we anticipate similar arrangements this year. Therefore, the venue is designed to be flexible, with facilities capable of supporting multiple simultaneous sessions.
Submission Guidelines:
Proposal Deadline: January 31, 2025
Submission Format: Proposals should include a title, a brief description of the symposium’s theme, and a list of potential speakers (if available).
Review Process: All submissions will be reviewed by the conference organizing committee to ensure they align with the overall goals of the event.
Please send your proposals to submissions@grrrhc.com with the subject line “Symposium Proposal – GRRRHC.”
We look forward to your contributions and to making this conference a vibrant and intellectually stimulating event.
